Since 2008, EWOB has supported a local spearhead response in Burundi to rebuild after the 1994 genocide in neighboring Rwanda, which destabilized Burundi as well.

The Restoration project has grown to include solar powered schools, computer training centers, running water, roadways and thousands of irrigated fruit trees distributed to families.
