EWoB's Executive Director Mic Crenshaw has been working with local leadership on two main projects this year in areas of the African continent: Expanding ongoing access and education projects in Burundi, and starting a new land development project in Tanzania.
Burundi 2024 Progress
This has been a big year for Burundi!

July 2024 marked an entry point and beginning activity for five main projects:
Women empowerment project
Additional digging for water canal pipes
Contract signature on the fruits plants distribution
Computer center visit,
And the beginning of road construction throughout the community.
Here is a breakdown of impact of the Burundi project in figures:
Population in the target community: 610 Households
Computer training beneficiaries: 2021 (36), 2022 (50), 2023 (39), 2024 (40)
Schools partners of the center: 4 elementary schools: MUYANGE (60), NKONDO (30), NYAMAZI (30), NYARUSANGE (25)
Total number of students from the schools (145)
Fruit plants 2022: 1,800 plants distributed; Oranges (600 plants), Maracuja (600), Mandarines (600)
Fruit plants 2023: 7,700 plants; Japanese plum (5,500), Papaya (1,200) Oranges (500) mandarines (500)
Fruits plants 2024 (nursery under way): 2,000 plants.
New Tanzania Project

Mic Crenshaw visited Tanzania in June 2024, after he worked with Ombeni Mollel Jackson, a local artist and community leader, to launch a land development and food sovereignty project in the region of Ngorongoro.
